Following his tragic death, there was major social media outrage as many people called for SARS to be scraped off the police force. The father of one was buried on April 18 amidst tears.

Some social media users took to the platform to share photos and videos from the burial ceremony. In the photos, many people can be seen in black t-shirts with a photo of the late Kolade in the front and #EndSARS behind.
