Oyo state Hausa-Fulani community pledges 700,000 votes for President Buhari

- Oyo state Hausa-Fulani community has promised to deliver 700,000 votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC)'s President Muhammadu Buhari

- The community made the promise during the launching of FULBE Support Forum for Buhari/Osinbajo in Iseyin

- It said President Buhari has done commendably well to deserve re-election in 2019

With less than two months to the 2019 general elections, the Hausa-Fulani community residing in Oyo state said all plans have been perfected to deliver 700,000 votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC)'s President Muhammadu Buhari.

The community made the promise during the launching of FULBE Support Forum for Buhari/Osinbajo in Iseyin area of the state, The Punch reports.

In a statement by the FULBE community on Sunday, January 6, the community public relation officer, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi, said the national coordinator of FULBE, Alhaji Mohammed Dan Alli, has directed the 33 local coordinators and state coordinators to ensure that President Buhari is overwhelmingly voted for.

Hajiya Abdullahi said the Oyo state coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar, has been ordered to ensure that 100 % of about 700,000 votes of eligible Hausa and Fulani voters across the state are delivered in February 16, for the president.

The governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, was represented by the commissioner for works and transport, Wasiu Dauda, at the event which witnessed the presence over 10,000 FULBE members.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported the national coordinator of the Next Level Project, a political campaign group of President Muhammadu Buhari, Umar Waziri Kumo, stated that people of northeast would massively support the president’s second term bid due to his administration’s impacts on their lives.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday, December 25, after a town hall meeting with politicians and youths of the northeast held at Riveredge Hotel, Bauchi, Kumo said the federal government had done much to the zone in the areas of roads construction linking all the six states and the fight against insurgency which “has improved greatly” the security of lives and property in the sub-region.
