2019: Arewa Youths Forum declares support for President Buhari
- Arewa youth Forum said it has declared support for President Buhari ahead of 2019 election
- The group said its decision is because it was satisfied with the performance of the president in the country
- It also said that for reducing incidents of uncontrolled expenditure and shady handling of funds, president deserved re-election
Arewa youth Forum (AYF), a northern group, said it has endorsed All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of 2019 general elections in order to consolidate his performance in the country.
Daily Trust reports that the group’s national director of public affairs, Bello Abdulhamid, made this known when addressing newsmen in Kaduna.
Legit.ng gathers that AYF, justifying its decision, said Buhari's performance in the country has to be appreciated by giving him the second chance to complete his projects.

AYF said: "Fiscal discipline and controlled expenditure through the implementation of Treasury Single Account (TSA) has reduced incidents of uncontrolled expenditure and shady handling of funds.
“To complement this, the vital issue of delivery of democracy dividends by the federal government is driven by the interest of ordinary people.
“The AYF hereby endorses Mr Integrity, President Muhammadu Buhari, to continue and serve a second term."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a pro-democracy group, the North Central Union (NCU), on Wednesday, December 5, endorsed the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of 2019 general polls saying Buhari remained the most credible presidential candidate.
Realwan Okpanachi, the spokesperson of the group, told newsmen that there was no better candidate than President Muhammadu Buhari.
