Thierry Henry denies entering discussions with Egypt national team

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has denied entering discussions with any club or national team after being linked with a move to become head coach of Egypt national team.

Last month, the former France international left his role as television pundit so as for him to focus on a career in managing a club or national side.

There have been reports that Henry who scored 228 goals in 376 appearances for the Gunners had talks with the Egyptian Football Federation for the possibility of him to become their next coach.

The 40-year-old Frenchman has now released a statement via Twitter insisting he has not entered discussions with any club or national association.

The Egyptian national senior men team has been left without a coach since the EFF sacked Hector Cuper after failing to win a game at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was reported to have held discussions with the Egyptian FA for him to take over the national men senior team.

Egypt played three games at the Russia 2018 World Cup and failed to win any tie which masterminded the sack of Hector Cuper and leaves his position vacant.
