Colombia defender Yerry Mina might be close to dumping Barcelona for a move to Manchester United this summer.

The 23-year-old was impressive for his national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia - scoring three goals in the process.

Despite his feat at the summer football showpiece, he has not been able to convince Barca chiefs as they are willing to let the player they signed earlier this year leave.

However, the defender seems to be anticipating a summer transfer move as follows the Red Devils, Paul Pogba and Antonio Valencia on Instagram.

Mina has not been able to break the partnership as he plays second fiddle to Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique at the Camp Nou.

He made just five appearances for the Spanish League champions since he joined them in the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, a deal for the Colombia international could see the Red Devils dump their chase Leicester City's Harry Maguire.

The England international has been tipped to join Man United's defence ahead of the coming season after an impressive performance at the World Cup.

As Jose Mourinho might be forced to sell some of his average players before the start of the 2018-19 season.

This would leave manager Jose Mourinho needing only one of Mina or Maguire to improve his back line.

Meanwhile, the South American defender is also a fan of Manchester City and Chelsea stars Willian and David Luiz on Instagram.

Legit.ng previously reported that Barcelona placed a price tag of £20 million on Yerry Mina following an Impressive Russia 2018 World Cup performances.

The Colombian international became the only defender to score three times at the summer global football showpiece.

He joined the Camp Nou outfit from Palmeiras in the winter of 2018 in a deal valued around €11.8 million.

Mina featured for just five times in the La Liga after making the dream move earlier in the year but seem not impressive to Barca coaches.
