President Buhari leaves to attend ICC anniversary in Netherlands
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 15, departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for Netherlands.
Legit.ng gathered that the president is to participate in activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), at The Hague.
This was disclosed on Twitter by Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to the president on new media.

While on board, President Buhari received a congratulatory phone call from the APC national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on the just concluded Ekiti state gubernatorial election.
Legit.ng previously reported a statement issued by Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, on Saturday, July 14, in Abuja, stated the president is the only world leader invited to deliver a keynote address during the Solemn Hearing.
He said the president would also highlight his administration’s campaign against corruption in Nigeria at the event.

The presidential aide further revealed that, after the event at the courtroom, the president would have a bilateral meeting with the ICC prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda.
