Breaking: Dogara speaks on meeting with President Buhari over security situation in Plateau
Yakubu Dogara, the speaker of the House of Representatives, on Wednesday, June 27, said President Muhammadu Buhari was planning a reorganisation of the nation’s security architecture to address ongoing security challenges in parts of the country, The Punch reports.
Legit.ng gathered that Dogara said this in an interview with State House correspondents after a meeting he and the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, had with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the killings in Plateau state.
However, he, did not disclose the details of the re-organisation.

“The President has taken enough steps, these are security issues, they are not matters that you can discuss; but he has told us what he is doing, the re-organisation that he plans to put in place to ensure that this doesn’t happen,” he said.
In a previous report by Legit.ng, President Muhammadu Buhari vowed to protect lives and properties of Nigerians. The president said this on Tuesday, June 26, in Jos at a meeting with stakeholders on the current security situation in Plateau.

It would be recalled that scores of the people were killed in several communities across four local government areas of the state. Vice President Yemi Osibanjo was in the state on Monday where he assessed the situation and also interacted with stakeholders.
Less than 24 hours, the president came himself to console the people and interact with them. “I have contested elected elections to protect lives and properties and that I will do," he said.
