Supporters took to social media to express their displeasure with the fixtures as one supporter sensationally claimed that the Premier League hates Arsenal.

''Oh ffs, Man City then Chelsea. PL really do hate Arsenal," the fan wrote.

Another noted that new Arsenal manager Unai Emery had been handed the toughest start to the Premier League, asserting that an opening tie against City was "an arduous mountain to climb for Unai Emery and his charges."
