FRSC commences nationwide recruitment

- The FRSC has commenced its nationwide recruitment exercise for 2018

- Prospective applicants for various cadres are expected to possess certain specific certificates; and they must not be older than 30

- All applications must be submitted within six weeks of the publication of the advert; and the exercise is free

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced that it has commenced its nationwide recruitment exercise, and has opened its portal to receive applications.

Spokesman for the corps, Bisi Kazeem, stated that candidates for the officer cadre must not be more than 30-years-old, and must possess a first degree and NYSC discharge certificate, The Cable reports.

Legit.ng gathers that qualified candidates can apply for employment into the following positions; officer cadre, marshal inspectorate (MI) cadre, and road marshal assistant cadre.

Kazeem disclosed that the three subcategories open for applications are marshal inspector I, marshal inspector II, and marshal inspector III.

For MI-I, applicants are expected to have Higher National Diploma, NYSC discharge certificates, registered nurse and midwife, and must equally not be above age 30.

MI-II applicants are required to possess Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE), registered nurse or registered midwife. Applicants to this cadre must not be older than 28 years old.

Applicants for MI-III must possess National Diploma, Community Health Extension Workers Certificate (CHEW), and must also not be older than 28.

He added: “Application into the category of RMAII requires a minimum of 5 credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB and must include Mathematics and English Language. For RMAIII, the requirement is a minimum of 3 credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. Applicants into the two categories of RMAs must not be more than 27 years of age.”

Artisans and tradesmen fall into the same categories of RMAs. They must also possess a valid class of drivers license.

The spokesman disclosed that individuals who want to be employed into any of the cadres can apply through the FRSC website: www.recruitment.frsc.gov.ng.

All applications must be submitted within six weeks of the publication of the advert; and shortlisted candidates are expected to come for screening with a print-out of their forms as well as the acknowledgment slip. The FRSC has pointed out that the exercise attracts no fee.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that few days after it conducted a test for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force, JAMB is set to conduct a similar test for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The board’s head, media and information, Fabian Benjamin, made the disclosure in an interview on Sunday, May 27, in Lagos. Benjamin said that the patronage by FRSC resulted from the success the board recorded in the recent conduct of recruitment test for the Police.
