Do not boycott 2019 elections - APC chieftain begs Abia people

- Chemberline Adiaso has urged residents in Aba not to carry out their threat of boycotting 2019 election in the state

- The APC chieftain said Abia state moved from eight years of mismanagement to three years of docility and deception

According to Adiaso, the tenancy of PDP in Abia will come to an end in 2019

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on residents in Aba not to carry out their threat of boycotting 2019 election in the state.

Chemberline Adiaso said the threats by residents of Aba to boycott the 2019 general election due to the flood being experienced in Aba and it's environs is not surprising.

Condemning the leadership style in the state, Adiaso, a governorship aspirant of APC in the state said Abia state moved from eight years of mismanagement to three years of docility and deception.

He said: "Okezie Ikpeazu could be a very nice guy and must have earned his educational pedigree by knowing what surrounds his field of study, but that is not all it takes to be a sound leader."

"Each time we have a down pour in Aba, the business activities of Aba shuts down and that bring about loosing millions of Naira per hour in the system. Aba as an industrial/commercial city should have been given every necessary attention to make it conducive for businesses to thrive.

I was in Isuikwuato about two weeks back and I saw the erosion threats all over that local government area. I saw how insensitive this Abia State PDP led government can be. The hypocrisy on play. I am forced to agree that they don't care about the state.

Ecological funds have been given by the FG to Abia State government overtime. Instead of utilising the funds for its purposes, the governor and his cartels chooses to do otherwise without fear of what will happen when his tenure is over by 29th of May 2019 and a new administration takes over, which is certain, due to his poor performance," Adiaso said.

Calling on the residents of the state to sheath their swords and get their permanent voters cards, Adiaso said the future of the state is in the hands of the people.

He also said that the days of godfatherism will be brought to an end in Abia state by an All Progressives Congress-led administration.

He said: "The concept of "who brought you in, and this is our turn", has reduced Abia to a sorry state. It's no more a news when one read about the rate of Abia as the slowest developing State in the southeast. What will be a news is when we hear one positive thing Abia State present government will do.

As an Aba Ngwa boy, I recall how proud we were, growing up and knowing that we had an identity that made us keep our heads up high. Just for being identified as an Aba boy, you will feel what your peers from other parts of the eastern States think about you. Aba was the Japan of Africa.

Today, the case is quiet different. Those qualities and stuffs that made up Aba has diminished due to the bad leadership of over 11 years. Senator TA Orji as the then governor insisted that an Aba boy is coming to fix Aba. He pushed in Ikpeazu against all odds, the rest is history.

Ikpeazu is the executive governor who dwells on lies in pretending to discharge his duties. To pay Abia workers salary became an issue for a governor who has received billions of Naira from FG and her resort to playing a cameo-effect with hiring media to tell all sort of lies to the innocent/unaware Abians in diaspora and Nigerians," he added.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a chieftain of the party, Sam Nkire, had warned people from the southeast region to be mindful of some wolves in sheep's clothing.

Nkire advised Igbos not to allow some 'sympathizers' to lure them into taking up arms in defence of Biafra.

The politician said it is strange to hear some prominent Nigerians claiming to love the Igbos more than they (Igbos) love themselves.
