In a previous report by Legit.ng, one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants in Ekiti state, Opeyemi Bamidele, urged the people of the state to accept the apology rendered by the party’s governorship candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi, over perceived infractions while he was in office between 2010 and 2014.

The call was made after a meeting with his canvassers in a post-primary consultation at Iyin-Ekiti during which he urged all other aspirants to fully support Fayemi’s candidature, Vanguard reports.

All aspirants were asked to put aside their differences in the interest of the APC and the state. Bamidele said that he was very confident of Fayemi’s capacity to redress what he described as the failures of the PDP administration.
