Van Gaal slams Courtois over blunder against Barcelona

- Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal blasted the Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for his poor display

- He also cast blames to the goalkeeper coaches at Stamford Bridge

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has blasted Thibaut Courtois for his performance in Chelsea's embarrassing Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

Courtois was found wanting in two occasions with Leo Messi twice putting the ball between his legs.

Van Gaal, who was analyzing the game for Ziggo Sports, took a swipe at Chelsea's coaching staff for their shotstopper's blunder.

He said: "The game was turned upside down due to the blunder of Courtois, which I think is a big blunder, that ball just would not go in until then,"

"If he'd have had Frans Hoek as goalkeeper coach, he would have closed his legs.

"That just should not be allowed to happen."
