May God reward those praying for me - Buhari says in London

- President Muhammadu Buhari received the delegation led by Lai Mohammed

- Buhari sais he actually wants to return to Nigeria, but he is waiting for doctors' instruction

- He thanked those praying for him

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his greetings to Nigerians informing them that he would soon be home from London.

The president said this when he received a delegation from his government led by Lai Mohammed, the information and culture minister. The others on the delegation include Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu, Lauretta Onochie and Abike Dabiri.

The president however said his return to Nigeria is dependent on his doctors in London.

In a statement by his Femi Adesina, Buhari confirmed that his health had tremendously improved and wished to return to Nigeria.

“I have learnt to obey my doctor’s orders rather than be the one issuing the orders. Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge.

“I feel I could go home, but the doctors are in charge. I have now learnt to obey orders, rather than be obeyed,” the president reportedly said.

Buhari said he was following events in Nigeria and understands that there are protests against his continued stay in London.

“I thank all those who are praying. May God reward them,” the president.
