Vanguard also reports that the Presidency denied having awareness of the development as both media aides to the president, Femi Adesina and Garba Lawal claimed such news should be regarded as a rumour

Mr Adesina who denied knowledge of the development according to Vanguard said: “BBC also called me and said the president’s aircraft had taken off, I should confirm it. I said the tradition is that if the president is coming, we will be asked to issue a statement but there has been no such instruction.”

Some also concluded that if the aircraft is in a parking lot, waiting for the president to be fine, it means the crew members are also in London.
