An interest group in Edo state, known as Esan National Congress (ENC), has openly rejected the federal government's proposal to create cattle ranches in the state, claiming that the move will disrupt peace in the state.

The groups also agreed that security agents be directed to arrest any person or group of persons found with arms while all groups involved join hands in combing all trouble areas and arrest any criminal found there.

The Imo state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Thursday, July 19, rejected plans for the establishment of ranches in the state. CAN said the bill by the state's House of Assemby is for cheap popularity.

The Muslim Rights Concern has advised Nigerians to stop blaming President Buhari for killings around the country. The group blamed a section of the media for the spread of wrong information about killings in the country.
