Champions Pillars Back On Top

Champions Kano Pillars have reclaimed top spot in the Nigeria league after a 1-0 home win over Sharks on Saturday.

Pillars now have 45 points from 26 matches.

Mohammed Gambo, playing his second game after a spell on the sidelines due to injury, scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute to cheer up the home fans.

Mohammed told MTNFootball.com he was delighted to get the all-important goal.

“It was not an easy game, but we thank Allah we won. I am happy to have scored the only goal that gave us victory,” Gambo said.

The Eagles striker has now scored five goals in the league.
