Haaland reaches historic milestone for Man City
Haaland came into the Manchester Derby in electric form after scoring five goals for Norway against Moldova during the international break.
His confidence carried straight into the game as he struck twice against Man City’s fiercest rivals, tormenting the Red Devils’ defence throughout the game.
With this brace, Haaland became the fastest player in Manchester City history to hit 50 goals at home, Football Insider reports.
Only Alan Shearer reached the landmark quicker, doing so in 47 games during his Newcastle days.
Haaland has also now scored more goals against Manchester United than any other Man City player, underlining his growing reputation as in the Premier League.
Man City humiliate struggling neighbours
Man City took control early and never let go as Phil Foden opened the scoring after capitalising on a lapse in midfield, before Haaland doubled the lead with a clinical finish.

The Norwegian sealed the game late on, converting from close range after a slick City move.
Man United looked lifeless for most of the match, unable to keep up with Pep Guardiola’s Man City’s intensity.
Ruben Amorim’s side had shown signs of improvement in their last outing against Burnley, but the gulf in class was clear under the lights at the Etihad.
Amorim under pressure after another setback
For Man United manager Ruben Amorim, the defeat raises fresh questions about his team’s direction.
Bruno Fernandes struggled to impact the game from a deep midfield role, while Benjamin Sesko again failed to convince up front.
Bryan Mbeumo looked like the only real attacking threat but was isolated for most of the match.
Amorim’s challenge now is to stop this from spiralling into another crisis as Man United’s backline looked disjointed, their midfield lacked bite, and their attack produced little to worry Man City’s goalkeeper.
With tough fixtures looming, the Portuguese manager faces a crucial period if he is to steady the ship.
