Silva praised the Super Eagles defender as a player who ticks all the boxes, and he believes in him to grow into one of the best defenders.

“I know him very well. As I've said many times already since he joined us after a really difficult season at Ajax after the Rangers spell, we really believe in him,” he told Sky Sports.
"He has to improve his aerial duels, all the other things he has really. He's quick, strong... the duels - he has to be more concentrated and focused in all the moments of the game to make the other step.”

Bassey and Iwobi are the Nigerian players at Craven Cottage, and as noted by Football Italia, Samuel Chukwueze has become the latest Eagle at the club after joining on loan from AC Milan.
