Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has acquired a brand new 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT worth over ₦250 million.

This is coming days after Nottingham Forest were held in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace in their second English Premier League (EPL) match on Sunday, August 24.

The 2025 FA Cup winners went in front with a goal from Ismaila Sarr before Callum Hudson-Odoi scored an equaliser in the 57th minute, per beIN Sports.

The Red started their EPL campaign on a bright note, beating Brentford 3-1 in their first match on August 15.

Chris Wood scored the opening goal in the fifth minute after relentless pressure from a corner, with Swiss international Dan Ndoye, doubling the advantage three minutes before half-time.

In first-half added time, Elliot Anderson capitalised on a loose pass from Sepp van den Berg to set up Wood for his second of the day, leaving Brentford shell-shocked.

Brentford managed a consolation in the 78th minute after Ibrahim Sangare handled in the box, allowing Brazilian striker Igor Thiago to score his first goal for the club.

Aina was spotted cruising around the streets in a sleek all-black Bentley worth a staggering ₦400 million after the game.

Aina named in World Cup qualifiers squad

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has released a 31-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification matches.

Chelle has handed over another opportunity to Ola Aina to play against Rwanda and South Africa next month.

Nigeria currently sit in fourth position, after six matches, and are condemned to win both matches to stand a better chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

The Super Eagles will first host Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, 6th September, before flying to Bloemfontein to take on South Africa three days later.

Super Eagles missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, following their 1-1 draw against the Black Stars of Ghana in Abuja, per Al Jazeera.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has opened up on the decision to ditch England and pledge his international future to Nigeria, which he took in May 2017.

Aina, who came through Chelsea's academy at Cobham, was born in London to Nigerian parents and played for the England youth teams from U16 to U20 level.
