Who is Ademola Ola-Adebomi?

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Ola-Adebomi spent 12 years with English club Crystal Palace’s academy, having joined at the age of eight.

Known as ‘Mola’ to his teammates, he progressed through the ranks and then signed his first professional contract in April 2022.

Despite being named in several senior matchday squads during the 2023-24 Premier League season, he never made a first-team appearance for Palace, per Fotmob.

His time at the club included a productive loan spell at Burton Albion in League One, where he scored once in 14 appearances.

He also went on a brief stint at Belgian side Beveren, which was cut short before his move to Tirol.

The friendly against Real Madrid will remain a high point of his career, as this comes barely two weeks after he joined Tirol.

Mbappe wore the iconic Real Madrid No.10 shirt during the encounter, which made it even better for the 6’4” centre-forward.

"It’s hard to find the right words to express how much Crystal Palace means to me. From the age of 7, this club has been my home, my family, and my life.
"I’ve grown up here, both as a player and as a person, and I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to wear the Palace shirt.
"That’s why it’s with a heavy heart that I’m announcing my departure from the club. I want to thank each and every one of staff for your unwavering support over the years.
"Crystal Palace will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ll be watching and supporting the team, and I wish everyone at the club all the very best for the future. Thank you for everything."
