Oscar Ruggeri has advised Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, Sports Keeda reports.
The former Real Madrid and Argentina centre-back claims his fellow countryman has lost respect for his boyhood club.
The 59-year-old Italia 90' finalist was quoted by Sports Keeda:
"Messi has to leave the club, He is still the best, but all the teams have lost respect for Barcelona. It's over, he has to go, they did a lot of things to him and we have come to this.

"They kicked out [Luis Suarez], and forgot he's [his] friend, [part of] the family. Suarez is a scorer. You can't kick him out. Not many players are at Suarez's level nowadays.
"Now Messi wants to come to Argentina, before it was the other way around. Now he would shoot [someone] to come to the national team, before he escaped from it. He's lost respect for Barcelona."
Messi has been allowed to speak with other clubs ahead of his move at the end of the season as he enters into the last four months of his contract.
Premier League giants Manchester City have been tagged favourites to land the charismatic Barcelona captain.
Current Barca boss Ronald Koeman is building a new squad and it is unknown if Messi would renew his contract at the Camp Nou when it expires in the summer.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester City have denied approaching Lionel Messi for a summer move to the Etihad at the end of the season, Sky Sports reports.
The Barcelona captain has just four months left in his contract at the Camp Nou and no official announcement have been made about his next destination.
A spokesperson from the Etihad claims that no offer has been made to the 33-year-old who seems likely to leave Barca in the summer.
