Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken a dig on goalkeeper David De Gea over incessant blunders that have continued to cost the team.

De Gea faces heavy criticisms for being responsible for two Everton goals when they played a 3-3 draw with the Toffees on Saturday, January 6.

United let their two-goal lead slip as the visitors struck late to earn a precious point at Old Trafford with fans going upset with the Red Devils.

The crunch Premier League encounter produced six thrilling goals but neither side could run off with maximum points as they had to share the spoils in the end.

It also left midfielder Bruno Fernandes furious when he claimed his side are conceding far too many goals.

The Portuguese playmaker noted the Old Trafford dwellers squandered a glorious chance to cart home all the three points as he sent his teammates a rallying call.

United's home draw leaves them in second with 45 points, five behind leaders Man City who still have one match in hand.

But Solskjaer is adamant past reputations count for little with him as he warned the stopper via SunSport:

“Every player has to earn his place. We’re a squad with competition and that applies to every single one in the team.”

Dean Henderson, 23, is chomping at the bit for regular starts following his two-year successful stint at Sheffield United.

The England international looks set to get the nod for tomorrow’s FA Cup clash against West Ham.

Club legend Gary Neville also singled out David de Gea for blame following Man United's disappointing draw against Everton at Old Trafford.

Neville believes the Spanish shot-stopper should have been more decisive to fend off the danger, adding the United defence also need to take some responsibility for the draw.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League following their 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Spurs got their goals through their hitman Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min to Jose Mourinho's side back in contention for a top-four finish.

The Lily Whites mounted much pressure from the blast of the whistle but could not find a way through West Brom's resolute defence.
