Drama as Top Governor Meets APC Leaders After Closed-Door Meeting with ADC

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has met with the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. This is coming just a day after meeting with the leadership of the coalition adopted party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Mohammed, who is one of the two remaining governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reportedly held a closed-door meeting with the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf at the Bauchi State Government House.

While the details of the meeting were not disclosed, pictures from the meeting surfaced on social media. On the other hand, after Bala's meeting with the ADC leaders, he hinted at the possibility of him becoming the first governor to join the opposition party, adding that the coalition has the potential of defeating President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 elections.

The governor made the claim after the closed-door meeting with a delegation of the party's national chairman, led by Babachir Lawal, the former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), at the presidential lodge in Bauchi, the state capital, on Tuesday, March 31.

Amahma mocked the APC for going after the governors:

"I think the faster way to join APC is to signal that you will be going to ADC. They will hurriedly pay your sign-on fees. Adeleke should meet david mark asap and take pictures. They will invite him and secure his 2nd term by relegating the APC aspirant."

Babatunde Emmanuel mocked the governor:

"They are waiting in the wind to cancel him and remind him how lightweight he is. Their talks will depend on where the man ends."

Pappy88 explained why the governor should not join the ADC:

"Doesn't make sense for Bala to go to ADC...got too much legal baggage that can finish him without immunity."

Gov Bala announces Ramadan package

Legit.ng earlier reported that Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, reduced the working hours for workers in the state during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ismail Ibn L Garam, the director of establishments at the office of the Head of Civil Service, announced the development in a circular directed to the chief staff in the government house.

The governor explained that the development was to take effect immediately, which is the first day of the 2025 Ramadan, Wednesday, February 18.
