Many social media users are praising a Nigerian man for his act of honesty.

The man won admiration on social media because he chose to return a huge amount of money mistakenly deposited into his account.

The crypto trader identified on Facebook as Sunusi Danjuma Ali said he saw $135,000 in his wallet.

Sunusi took to Facebook to share his experience and to narrate how he suspected that the money in his wallet was a result of a glitch on his Bitunix account.

He contacted Bitunix and reported the money to the company, requesting that it be taken.

The story was reposted on X by Bashir Ahmad, who wrote:

"It is always good to be good. This brother, Sunusi Danjuma Ali, discovered a huge balance in his cryptocurrency Bitunix account — over $135,000 (more than ₦200 million). He explained that even though he has worked hard for Bitunix, he immediately realized it must have been a system error (a glitch). Instead of attempting to withdraw the funds, he chose the path of honesty and quickly contacted the Bitunix database team in Africa as well as their official X (Twitter) account. They confirmed it was indeed a glitch and he asked them to rectify it. Well done!"

Man returns N5 million mistakenly sent to his account

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a Nigerian man has raised an alarm on social media over an unexpected credit alert and the action he took afterwards.

The Fidelity Bank customer was shocked that someone sent him N5 million and added that he received numerous calls because of the transaction.

The honest man mentioned the name of the sender and a precautionary measure he took after effecting a refund.
