Man Who Left N12.4 Million in Opay App Shares How Much Interest He Got

A Nigerian man left N12 million in his savings account, but the money has increased after it accumulated interest.

The man said he adopted a daily savings method with the Opay app, and he was happy since it helped him save some money.

According to Alusi, who shared his experience on X, some amounts of money are deducted from his account every day and automatically saved.

He said if not for the automatic saving method, he would have spent the money recklessly.

His words:

"Managed to save 12 million so far this month. Let’s see if we can make it 15-20 million before the month ends. I adopted this as a means to curb the way I spend, hence, this 12 million is money I would have spent recklessly if OPay wasn’t deducting it bit by bit on a daily basis."

The money he saved is yielding interest for him. The screenshot he posted shows that the N12.4 million has yielded an interest of N42,320 in one month.
