The celebrity chef first announced her plans to cook the largest pot of jollof rice on her page on August 22.
On her media page with the handle @hildabaci, she shared that the event would kick off in September, adding a description:
"Almost 2 years ago I had the dream to cook the largest pot of Jollof Rice ever made. And now, with @ginonaija and YOU, that dream is coming alive 6 meters wide. 6 meters tall. 12th September, we make history together."

She described the moment:
"Seeing this pot finally completed feels surreal my dream is becoming a reality. I’ve feel fear, anxiety, and excitement all at once, but above everything else, my heart is full of gratitude. Less than 3 days to go."
