Mum displays form given by school
The mother, @2classy on Instagram, expressed her outrage over the terms drafted by the school.
She strongly objected to the school's terms, particularly the reference to a child's life as "these", which she felt implied that a child was merely an object.
In the video, she refused to sign the form, citing her concerns over her children's safety and well-being.
She said:
"I go put my children for new school. Make una see wetin they write say make I sign. Just read am. Wetin I want make you read na the last line..."I also acknowledge that while the school does its best to ensure safety of a child's life, health and property, the school cannot be held responsible for any damage to these."
"I no understand. I put my pikin for your school. You said you won't be held responsible for life. Why you put child's life? Why you put child's life join this thing? Come put am say make I sign am. I'm not okay with that. Oh me, I'm not okay because I don't understand what they mean by safety of a child's life and that they won't be held responsible for any damage to these. They called the child life 'these' as if maybe the pikin na object that they can damage and get away with. I tell them say I no go sign, can't sign this. Not okay with the terms. I no dey sign. You are in charge of my kids' life when they are with you, please take care of them. I won't sign that any damage to my child's life is acceptable.

I don't know what they mean by that, but I'm not signing it. I'm sorry. Nonsense. I will carry this paper go give them. If they no take am, na them know. But me to sign say any damage to my child's life is acceptable is not acceptable by me. I'm sorry. I won't put my signature on that."
