Company deducts staff salary

However, when she resumed work, she was seriously questioned and her salary was deducted to the tune of N47,000, leaving her with only N3,000, an amount too small to survive on.

The story goes:

"There’s a woman I know who works as a cleaner at a company. Her monthly salary is N50,000. Last month, however, she was páid only N3,000. She is a widow and the mother of four children. The reason for the deduction was heartbreáking. Her youngest child fell seriously ill, and she had to stay home to care for him. She informed the HR department in advance and requested permission to be absent. Unfortunately, the HR officer, who seemed to lack empathy, issued her a formal query despite her explanation. This query led to a salary deduction of N47,000, leaving her with just N3,000 for the entire month. She was devástated. With mounting debts for food and other basic needs, she couldn’t hold back her tears. The emotional weight was too much to bear."

However, God came through for the woman after she went to church.

According to the story, while she was in church, a pastor gave her N100,000, while other members donated additional N100,000 for her so that she could start a business.

The story says:

"That Sunday, she went to church with a heavy heart, praying silently throughout the service. In the middle of the service, the pastor suddenly called her out in front of the congregation. He said he felt deeply unsettled in his spirit and that a voice kept urging him to help her. Right there and then, the pastor transferred N100,000 to her and also promise her a POS (Point of Sale) machine which he has fulfilled his promise. Moved by her story and the pastor’s compassion, some church members also contributed an additional N100,000 — bringing the total support she received to N200,000. With this support, she was finally able to start a POS business. She was overwhelmed with joy and came to my office to share the good news. She was full of gratitude and thanked me for the small ways I had supported her in the past."
