Nigerian Lady Builds Portable House with Flat Roof, Tiles Interior, Shows it off

• A Nigerian lady, Shukura Oyebamiji, who wanted to become a landlord on time quickly finished a one-room and parlour apartment and moved in
• The lady used minimal materials on roofing as she employed a flat structure that saved on both wood and sheet costs
• Reacting to people who raised concerns about her security, Shukura said there are houses around her, and her area is not a deserted location

A smart Nigerian lady, Shukura Oyebamiji, has been praised online after showing off the portable house she built.

A video she shared showed that the structure is a room and parlour apartment with a toilet and a kitchen. It has a small veranda.

Saving cost with flat roof

The lady (@adunn661) adopted a flat roofing structure for her house, a design that saves costs on wood and roofing sheets.

After plastering the house, Shukura had a banister at the veranda for design and support. The lady tiled her toilet from floor to the high walls.

Shukura also installed cabinets and a highland in her kitchen, giving the whole house a modern interior.

Casement vs sliding windows

The interior had porcelain tiles. She completed the house with a POP ceiling. Even though the house was small, it was well finished.

The lady opted for sliding windows over the recently popular casement type, which is more expensive.

A building expert, Gbenga Muritala, who saw the lady's portable house, praised her for taking the initiative.

He said:

"People who build small move quickly to their homes than those who start a project bigger than what they could handle. This is a good one."

Man builds 1 room, paints it

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian man inspired many on social media after he shared a video of a house he built. The man completed a one-room apartment for himself. He roofed and painted it well.

In a viral TikTok clip shared by @sanity653, the man was grateful to God that he was able to accomplish the feat. He hoped to build something better and bigger in the future.
