Man shares experience with Ibom Air hostess

As Nigerians analysed the issue, a man identified as Stanley Kotey Pepple on Facebook shared his experience with the viral air hostess a day before the drama.

His comments read:

“For the first time, I'll call this karma. On 9th August 2025, I was on Ibom Air's pm flight from PHC to LOS. While boarding, I noticed something burning and asked a junior crew member. She replied it was from the microwave.
"Moments later, I overheard this same lady who was slapped (so called purser), asking the junior crew what I had said, before remarking — "All these over-sabi passengers, he won't mind his business,I too sabi."
“I called that same Junior crew member to let her know I heard the comment of her purser. In my view, such remarks show rudeness, lack of training, and a poor attitude toward passengers.

He added:

“For those questioning my reaction, I'll say this again. That uncouth and pretentious Purser got what she deserved. I am very sure she provoked that passenger with her bad and rude mouth. That's my position and it's final.”

Confirming his stance on the issue, Stanley told Legit.ng his opinion on how the air hostesses should be trained.

He said:

“Just like any other airline right now, the ground staff needs training and retraining. The cabin attendants are running a military regime in the cabin. They need proper training and not the shabby ones they get from any of these 4-6weeks course.
"I think because their trainings are very short usually less than 2 months, they don't soak them in what the job is truly about.”
