The South Carolina House of Representatives presented Governor Soludo with a certificate commending his distinguished career, which includes his roles as a professor of economics, economic adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. The commendation highlights Soludo's pivotal contributions to elevating Nigeria's status as an African financial powerhouse.

The award ceremony attracted high-profile personalities from across the globe, including former Tanzanian President, Dr. Jakaya Kikwete; Prime Minister Philip Davis of The Bahamas, President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica, former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar; and Prime Minister Dr. Judith Suminwa Tuluka of the Democratic Republic of Congo, among others.

In an exclusive chat with Legit.ng correspondent in Anambra, on Friday, September 26, the Secretary immediate past national vice president of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ichie Damian Okeke Ogene, noted that the recognition of Governor Soludo at this prominent global event emphasizes Anambra's increasing visibility on the world stage, showcasing the state's advancements and leadership in various sectors.

Ogene, a major stakeholder in Anambra State, said that Soludo's tripartite awards justify and translate what are already on ground in terms of infrastructural facilities and democracy dividends in Anambra State.

He said, "Considering what the governor had done and achieved, no one can fault the awards he bagged. From his past and present records, it is expected that he would bag this kind of award every now and then.
"These awards are added honour to Anambra State, the Igbo nation and Nigeria in general. Within three and half years in office, the governor has done noble things, and it is believed that if given opportunity for a second tenure, he will do much more that after his eight year tenure, if he failed to achieve the Dubai/Taiwan state, he would achieve something very close to that.
"Gone are the days when politicians will promise heaven and earth without accomplishing anything. Majority of the projects Soludo is executing today is not in his manifesto, but he is doing them. During his campaign, he never told anyone that he would dualize the road from Ekwulobia to Uga, or from Agulu to Okija, or from Nnobi to Ufuma, etc. But you can see he is doing all these.

"If he could do all these without telling anybody, it translates that if given opportunity to do second tenure, he will likely built and complete a railway in Anambra. Anambra people are proud of the governor, and they wish him well. This is not a time for wasteful expenses - Soludo is using the state resources to develop the state, and everybody is happy.
"In the history of Anambra State, no governor in eight years, has achieved what Soludo was able to achieve in just three years and a half."

Ohaneze endorses Soludo for second term

On the forthcoming November 8 Anambra governorship election, the Ohaneze chieftain clarified that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization endorsed Soludo for second term in office because of his track records of good performance in his first tenure.
