The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) has saluted Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday, describing her as a symbol of faith, service and purposeful leadership.

The group said her life reflects devotion to God, humanity and national development and continues to inspire women and youth across the country.

YOWICAN praises Oluremi's inspiring leadership

In a statement signed by its National Chairman, Ambassador Belusochukwu Michael Enwere, YOWICAN praised the First Lady for her compassion and resilience.

Enwere called her a “quintessential role model” whose example has become a guide for young people seeking to make a positive impact in society.

He added that her influence reaches far beyond politics because it is built on integrity and a deep commitment to service.

Senator Tinubu turned 65 on September 21, 2025. Before becoming First Lady, she represented Lagos Central Senatorial District for three terms and sponsored bills focused on education, social welfare and women’s rights.

She is also the founder of the New Era Foundation, a platform for youth development, community service and public health awareness.

YOWICAN noted that her achievements and character have made her a matriarchal figure affectionately called “Mummy” by admirers. Enwere said her Christian faith and disciplined lifestyle have shaped a leadership style that blends strength with humility.
