He explained that roads play a vital role in large residential communities and that the authority would continue to direct resources toward enhancing mobility, safety, and security within its estates.
According to him:
“With available funds, more roads will be built on our estates across the country. The management will also continue to prioritize the security of lives and properties in all Federal Housing Authority communities.”
Other road projects inaugurated to make 1.2km
The projects inaugurated include the 645-metre stretch on First Avenue, the 540-metre road on 13th Crescent, and the 15-metre E Close road, bringing the total length to 1.2 kilometres.
The construction required extensive blasting of rocks and overcoming several physical challenges posed by the hilly terrain.

Ojo said the previously dilapidated roads posed security risks as criminals exploited the poor conditions and isolated areas as hideouts.
He maintained that the newly built infrastructure would not only improve movement within the estate but also help safeguard residents.
FHA boss lauds staff, contractors
The FHA boss praised the staff, management, and contractors of the authority for their collaboration, describing the delivery of the projects as a product of teamwork and sound decision-making.
He commended the contractors for completing the work on schedule and meeting quality standards despite the heavy rains that hampered activities during the construction period.
Ojo also assured staff of improved welfare while pledging that the authority would not relent in its core mandate of housing delivery.
He emphasized the need for healthy competition between the public and private sectors in the housing industry, noting that government, with access to resources and regulatory capacity, can set higher benchmarks for quality and service.
He said the vision of the FHA under his leadership is to sustain and expand housing and infrastructure projects across the federation without compromising quality or standards.
