Kwara: How Dismembered Body of Pregnant Woman Was Discovered in Ilorin

Ilorin, Kwara state - The Kwara state police command has arrested one Sylvester Enemo, 29, in connection with the alleged killing and dismembering of his 39-year-old sister-in-law, Mrs. Esther Enemo, in Ilorin.
As reported by Guardian, information showed that late Esther resided in Temidire community, Ilorin, before the incident, which happened on Thursday, August 21, in her residence.

Vanguard also noted the sad development in a report on Saturday, August 23.
According to police reports, officers responded to a distress call around 9:00 a.m. after a resident raised concerns about suspicious moves at the home of Mr. Ekene Enemo, husband of the slain woman.
A source said:
“Detectives who arrived at the scene found the mutilated body of Mrs. Esther Enemo in a bush behind her residence."
Further search, however, revealed body parts hidden in a sack and dumped beneath a community bridge.
The police said:
“Mr. Sylvester Enemo, aged 29, and the younger brother of the victim’s husband, was arrested after he was seen leaving the house shortly before the discovery. The husband, Mr. Ekene Enemo, has also been contacted for questioning.”

Ilorin killing: Police boss gives order
Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, the spokesperson of the police in Kwara state, expressed regret over the unfortunate incident and appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid speculation that could incite fear or tension within the community.
She disclosed that the commissioner of police (CP), Ojo Adekimi, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the matter.
CP Adekimi assured that the police would unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring the perpetrators to face the full weight of the law.
The police spokesperson urged residents to continue cooperating with the police by providing useful information that would aid ongoing investigations and security operations.

Skit maker murdered in Lagos
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that there was panic in Lakowe community of Ibeju-Lekki local government area (LGA) of Lagos state after a prominent skit maker Austin was found dead with machete cuts.
It was gathered that some suspected cultists stormed the area in search of the slain youth.
On locating his apartment, they allegedly dragged him out of his room and hacked him to death on the spot.
