During a recent conversation in the Big Brother Naija house, housemate Koyin surprised his fellow contestants and viewers by revealing that he is actually 25 years old, not 21 as previously believed.

The topic arose casually when fellow housemate Gigi Jasmine referenced his age, prompting Koyin to clarify the confusion surrounding it.

He explained that when he joined a modelling agency around 2020 or 2021, he was advised to adjust his age to increase his longevity in the industry.

According to him, it was a common practice in modelling, similar to what happens in football, where a younger age is often seen as an advantage.

Following the agency's guidance, three years were deducted from his actual age, and he began presenting himself as younger, particularly in professional spaces related to his modelling career.

Koyin went on to disclose that his real age is 24, and he will be turning 25 on August 19.

His explanation was met with visible amusement from Gigi Jasmine and another housemate, Ivatar, who were present during the conversation. Both seemed surprised but entertained by the unexpected disclosure.

In another development, Legit.ng reported that BBNaija housemate Kuture, during a diary session, suggested Biggie introduce a fighting arena for housemates to settle disputes through controlled fist-to-fist, weapon-free combat.
