A video of street pop singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, better known as Portable, has gone viral online and sparked reactions.

In the clip, the music star, who recently had a brawl with Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin, was seen throwing punches at some men on the streets of Ikeja, Lagos State.

The area was crowded with people watching the incident unfold. A man, wearing a reflective jacket, was seen attempting to mediate peace between Portable and the person he was fighting with.

At one point, Portable was seen chasing the man as he tried to flee after the fight broke out.

Portable explains what happened

In a post shared on his Instagram, Portable addressed the situation. He said he was in Ikeja that day and while heading to the United Kingdom embassy, a group of men stole his neck chain, which he referred to as "Ice".

He added that a gun was pointed at him, adding that the alleged thief had already taken the chain.

Portable further explained that the thief also attempted to steal his phone, prompting him to fight back.

Calling himself "Ika of Africa," one of his nicknames, Portable boasted that he showed the thieves that he belonged to the street by fighting to get his stolen items back.

He concluded by stating that he successfully retrieved his "Ice" from the thief.

Many fans praised him for explaining the situation before anyone else could twist the narrative.

They commended him for being smart, while a few others said they needed to hear the other party's side before forming an opinion.

This is not the first time Portable has been involved in a street fight. A few years ago, he was seen fighting in the trenches after attending a burial ceremony.

VDM drags Portable over abuse

Legit.ng earlier reported that Portable was called out by social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, aka Verydarkman, over his behaviour at Felabration.

He shared a video and said the music star was doing too much and needed to be cautioned. VDM promised to help the victim assaulted get justice and warned Portable not to come near Abuja.
