Michael Jackson’s 1st Son Prince Announces Engagement to Longtime Girlfriend, Family Reacts

Prince, Michael Jackson's firstborn son, has excitedly announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Molly Schirmang.

Prince began dating Molly in 2017, and although their relationship has remained mostly private, they have occasionally walked the red carpet together.

He took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that he and Molly are set to walk down the aisle. In his caption, he wrote:

"8 years down [infinity] to go." Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and created many amazing memories. Along with an album with a photo of them celebrating his college graduation, he wrote: 'We've travelled the world, graduated, and grown so much together."

One of the photographs in the suite showed Molly and Prince sitting with his grandmother, Michael's mother Katherine Jackson, who is 95 years old.

Prince ended his remark by saying, "I'm excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you, Babs."

His cousin Taryll Jackson, the son of Michael's brother Tito of the Jackson 5 fame, jumped into the comments and wrote, 'Congrats!!!'

According to Daily Mail, Prince's scrapbook was full of images of him and Molly over the years, kayaking, enjoying a rainbow, and posing for red carpet events.

A handful of the events were for the foundation named after Tito's late ex-wife Dee Dee Jackson, whose former partner, Don Bohana, was found guilty of her drowning but has vehemently denied his guilt.

Prince's declaration comes less than a month after his sister Paris Jackson confirmed that she had split from her fiancé Justin Long, to whom she had become engaged in December.

Molly and Prince began dating when he was 20 years old, and one year later, he gave an interview in which he spoke fondly of her but did not reveal her name.

“I think in everything there’s an important balance. I think that I’m a certain way, and she’s very — I don’t want to say opposite — but complementary in a way that we balance each other out. I’m more aggressive, she’s a little softer,” he told People.

He added that their relationship “helps us stay well-rounded" in that she urged him to "see things through a different light," and he did the same for her.
