The 2025 Olojo Festival, hosted by revered Yoruba monarch Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, witnessed a performance from a man dressed as Esu.

A clip shared on social media captured the moment a man played the character of Esu, one of the gods in Yorubaland, displaying moves for all to see at the palace of the Ooni.

According to the caption shared via Olojo Festival page on X, formerly Twitter, Esu display was a prelude to the grand stage of the event.

"Prelude to the Grand Stage! Before the final showcase at the Olojo Festival stage, the preliminary performance of Èṣù at the palace sets the tone; dramatic, powerful, and deeply spiritual," the caption read.

"Esu" a powerful trickster deity of the Yoruba religion, also spelled Èṣù, is a mediator, messenger, and deity of crossroads.

In related news, Legit.ng reported that Fuji stars Obesere and Malaika were the two guest artistes at the Olojo Festival. They both performed at the Ojaja Arena in Ife.

Ooni of Ife visits Olubadan
