Nigerian content creator Jidex Klothing has confirmed the death of popular comedian Sanku in an emotional TikTok video on September 1.
The heartbreaking update comes after earlier reports that Sanku was involved in a terrible car accident on Monday on Ogbomoso Road, Oyo State.

Visibly devastated, Jidex expressed his grief, saying he was weakened by the tragic news. He reflected on the fragility of life, noting how someone who left home in good health, intending to return, could suddenly be gone forever.
An earlier video shared by the content creator showed the wreckage of the vehicle involved, and he stated that while multiple passengers were affected, Sanku and another person might not survive due to the severity of the crash.

Expressing sadness, Jidex Klothing noted that yesterday (August 31, 2025), it was Phyna's sister, Ruth, who died, and Sanku just a day later. Sharing the video, he wrote:

A clinical psychologist and mental health awareness expert, Adeyinka Ogunremi, has called for greater mindfulness in the way people process and share tragic news online.
She told Legit.ng:

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian comedian Carter Efe's studio had caught fire during a livestreamed stunt involving a magician.
The flames spread rapidly, causing panic among the group as they scrambled to extinguish the blaze. Luckily for them, however, no one was hurt.
