KWAM 1: Isaac Fayose Makes Strong Ethnic Claim in Airport Drama: “Imagine the Pilot Was Igbo"

  • Isaac Fayose said Nigeria’s deep divisions could have changed the KWAM1 airport saga into an ethnic battle.
  • He argued that if the pilot had been Igbo, people might have accused Peter Obi of orchestrating the drama
  • Fayose urged KWAM1 to get a private jet like younger artistes if he feels above airline rules.

Isaac Fayose has given another perspective in the controversy surrounding Fuji music legend KWAM1 De Ultimate and his recent altercation on a ValueJet flight.

The singer was barred from flying in Nigeria for six months by the NCAA after he was almost run over by the airline's aircraft

In a video posted to his Instagram page, Fayose claimed that Nigeria’s current state of affairs is so polarised that the incident could have taken an ethnic and political twist under different circumstances.

The businessman lamented what he described as a culture of lawlessness and arrogance among influential figures.

According to him, the KWAM1 incident was just one example of powerful individuals refusing to play by the same rules as ordinary Nigerians.

“People we see now are the arrogant people. The ‘Do you know who I am’ type. That’s what is destroying the country".

Fayose went on to point out that many younger artists have already bought their own private jets to avoid issues with commercial airlines.

“If KWAM1 feels he is too important to adhere to the rules of commercial flights, he should just invest in his own private jet. That’s what the younger ones are doing,” Fayose advised.
