Get ready for a whole new type of game show this March with the premiere of Come Play Naija on Africa Magic, on Thursday, 3 March.

Come Play Naija is a team-based competition that sees contestants answering trivia questions, battling through obstacle courses and spinning a wheel for the chance to win big!

8 Things You Should Know About the New Game Show ‘Come Play Naija’

Here are 8 things to know about the ‘Come Play Naija’ show as we countdown to the premiere:

1. Two Teams, One Winner - Contestants on each episode of Come Play Naija stand a chance of winning up to 5 million Naira and other exciting prizes such as a brand-new car.

2. The game will feature Eight contestants - Eight contestants will feature in each episode of Come Play Naija, they will be divided into two groups of four contestants. Winning team from each episode will advance to the finale episode to compete for the grand prize

3. Contestants will compete in five segments on the show - The show will feature five segments that will test the contestants’ mental and physical skills. These include Trivia Time, Obstacle Course 1-3, and Spin the Wheel. Each segment will require one or more team members to participate in the games.

4. Viewers get to win in the ‘Home Play Edition’ - active and new DStv and GOtv customers stand a chance to win cash prizes by predicting the winner of the Saturday live games. All you have to do is go to the Africa Magic website, add your smartcard or IUC number and predict the winner. The first 40 correct predictions win N50,000 each! This is open to active DStv and GOtv customers only.

5. Hero Daniels is the host - Comedian and TV host, Hero Daniels will host the show and will bring his charm and wits as he helps the contestants make money whilst having fun.

6. The show airs three times a week - The show will air Thursdays and Fridays on AM Showcase, Urban and Family from 9pm and on Saturdays from 7pm. The finale episode will air on DStv 199 and GOtv 29 from 10pm on Friday, 25 March and will run into the morning of Saturday, 26 March.

7. Watch it on select DStv and GOtv packages - The ‘Come Play Naija’ game show is available to DStv customers on DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Confam & Yanga and GOtv customers on GOtv Supa, Max & Jolli.
