It is the minimum score students must attain in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for the post-UTME screening. While the general cut-off applies across most faculties, more competitive courses require higher scores.

The admission policy specifies three minimum GPA requirements for prospective students to be considered for admission to UNIBEN. These include the requirements for post-UTME eligibility, the cut-off mark set by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and the departmental cut-off mark at UNIBEN.
