Cherubim and Seraphim Church's University to Begin Academic Operations Soon

Kwara state - A newly licensed private university, Moses Orimolade University in Kwara state, will commence academic activities in 2026.

The founder of Love of Christ Church, Lagos, Reverend Esther Ajayi, disclosed that the university is currently 80 percent complete.

Rev Ajayi said the faith-based university belonging to the Cherubim & Seraphim church is a milestone achievement for the denomination and would aid in moulding the characters of future leaders.

She added that the university affirmed the church’s human development perspective in 100 years.

As reported by The Punch, Rev. Ajayi made this known while speaking on the sidelines of the C&S centenary lecture held in Lagos on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Ajayi is the chairperson of the Cherubim and Seraphim Centenary Anniversary Steering Committee.

The woman of God said Cherubim and Seraphim University would be a buffer to amoral behaviours. She added that the university will instill the expected values orientation required to advance society.

“The church is setting up institutions and structures to advance its bridge-building in the world.
“A renewed C&S inspires generation and the global community to rediscover its roots and engender true human service.
“We are looking at taking the gospel to Europe and the West. It is in schools that we groom people who can take the gospel back to rescue humanity.
“We need to train bold minds that will preach and evangelise all over the world to correct growing anomalies that pose threats to humanity."

About Cherubim and Seraphim church

Moses Orimolade Tunolase founded the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in 1925.

The aladura or white garment church, as many Nigerians fondly call it, emphasises prayer and spiritual healing.

There is uniformity in the church as members wear white garments to symbolise purity and holiness.

Recall that the foundation of Africa’s first Artificial Intelligence University was laid in Modakeke, Osun state.

Governor Ademola Adeleke flagged off the construction of the institution, the Curators University.

The founder of Curators University, Olusola Amusan, spoke about the importance of Artificial Intelligence to university education.

Federal govt approves 9 new private universities

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that no fewer than nine new private universities were granted approval to commence academic activities in the country.
