Driven by Nigeria’s youth and digital ambitions
“This is not just a brand unveiling, it is the beginning of a whole new chapter in our history,” Banigbe declared. “We are no longer who we were; we are becoming something greater, more ambitious, and more in tune with the future.”
Banigbe explained that the T2 identity reflects the creativity, resilience, and hunger for progress in Nigeria’s youthful population.
“Across Nigeria, we see the hunger for speed, access, relevance, and creativity. That is why we are embracing a digital-first approach: leaner, faster, smarter, so we can serve our customers better,” he said.
The rebrand comes with a promise, to transform T2 into a cloud-native, API-ready, and data-driven telecom powerhouse.
This, according to Banigbe, will allow the company to roll out new products faster, personalise services using AI, and simplify customer experiences with real-time digital tools.
Confronting past challenges
While unveiling the future, Banigbe did not shy away from addressing recent service issues and network outages that have frustrated customers.
“We have endured, we have struggled, but like Nigeria, we always bounce back stronger and sharper. Our scars are not signs of defeat; they are reminders of our resilience,” he said.
