Benefits of the UNICEF internship

UNICEF interns enjoy several advantages, including:

  • A monthly stipend of up to $1,700, depending on location and funding.
  • A potential one-time lump sum to cover travel and visa costs if required for specific projects.
  • Flexible work duration ranging from 6 to 26 weeks, either full-time or part-time.
  • The chance to work remotely from anywhere with a stable internet connection.

Beyond financial benefits, interns gain valuable experience in the workings of the United Nations, build global networks, and strengthen their professional profiles in the international humanitarian field.

Why this matters for Nigerians

With Nigeria’s rising youth unemployment and the global shift towards remote work, this programme is a game-changer. Earning in dollars while developing international skills provides young Nigerians with a competitive edge in today’s job market.

By opening doors to remote opportunities, UNICEF is not only supporting academic and professional growth but also empowering the next generation of global leaders.
