4 herdsmen caught plotting attack close to my church - Apostle Suleman

The senior pastor and president of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has alleged that four herdsmen were caught close to his church plotting an attack.

Suleman made this known in a tweet via his official Twitter handle, @APOSTLESULEMAN, in the early hours of Wednesday, July 3.

He said though the suspected herdsmen were handed to the police, they were nowhere to be found in the police cell after they were handed over.

According to Suleman, the police said the herdsmen had been transferred to the headquarters.

“4 herdsmen were caught close to our church plotting an attack. We apprehended them and handed them to the police..only to get there today and they are no where to be found. The police says they have been handed to the headquarters,” he tweeted.

In a related development, the deputy vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Bolaji Sule, cried out over the activities of herdsmen, who according to him, continue to invade the institution’s farms.

Professor Sule said the herdsmen have become a threat to the institution.

He said this at a meeting with some security agencies in Kwara stressing that the university had met its commitment towards the herders, but the issue of insecurity on its land had persisted.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Aare Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo, warned southwest governors against providing land for herdsmen to breed cattle.

Adams gave the warning at the Southwest Security Summit which held in Ibadan, Oyo state.

He chided south-west governors for ignoring his letters and calls to take proactive steps in checking the excesses of rampaging herdsmen before it degenerated to the level where innocent people were being killed and abducted in the region.
