Governor Lamido Says Security Issues Come First

Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido has claimed that security problems currently rocking Nigeria are more important than presidential ambition.

Speaking during the press conference dedicated to the 7th anniversary of his administration, the official stated that everyone should be focused on the current challenges. He was quoted saying by Daily Independent:

"We have to work to save, restore and stabilise the country, before any other thing. The environment is not conducive for aspiration now, for both PDP and APC members, and everybody must help to salvage the nation from the current insecurity situation."

Lamido also expressed his sorrow over almost daily killings of innocent people.

In terms of the upcoming 2015 elections the governor however said God would determine his future career.

"I became a governor by the Will of God and will become president by the wish of God."
