No fewer than 45 people have been confirmed dead as a result of a twin bomb explosions that occurred in Jos, Plateau State today.

According to eyewitnesses, the first explosion sounded at about 2:55 PM while the second happened about 10 metres away at about 3:20 PM around the same area.

Earlier reports on Sahara Reporters and CNN had stated that over 200 people were killed.

However, it was gathered from an official of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, that scores of victims were injured in the explosions.
