The minister made the statement in at a meeting of the Council of Europe in Vienna, Austria, on May 6, 2014, Tuesday.

The British Foreign Minister, however, refused to reveal what exactly has been offered by the U.K. for Nigeria.

It would be recalled that a former British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has called for providing international military help to Nigeria, including air support, in search of over 200 abducted Chibok students.

Both the U.K. and the U.S. expressed readiness to assist Jonathan's Administration in securing the release of the missing girls. The U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, promised Washington's support too during his Ethiopia visit on May 3, 2014, Saturday.
