Nigerian Student Died In Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh

A Nigerian student has been found dead at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur, Bangladesh.

The body of the 26-year-old student, identified as Tahir Mannir Adam, was recovered from the lake of the institution.

According to the Dhaka Tribune, Adam went to the lake alone for bathing. Unfortunately, he had no skills in swimming and eventually got drowned.

His unconscious body was quickly recovered from the lake. However, emergency operations, such as resuscitation, did not help. He was declared dead upon arrival to the Tongi Government Hospital.

IUT administration informed that an inquiry into the incident had already started. All the relevant materials were provided to the local police in Joydevpur.

The deceased was a third year student of the university’s computer science department.
